Not knowing it is hard to figure it out. The best way is to go to a beauty suply store and have one of the workers to tell you. They will check your hair and they will know. You don't have to buy the product you need there. I have tried a lot of diffent product types trying to use the best for my hair and I have found that sunsil is the best. They have a whole line of products from limp to frizzy. They work better then anything I have found... They don't cost alot either. Good Luck...
are you looking for drug brands or salon brands?
Rotate between at least 2 different shampoo and conditioners, it keps your hair fresher.
OR
Try a greasy roots, dry ends system like
-Charles Worthington Balancing act
-Garnier Fructis Balanced Care
-Aussie dual personaliy
Or
just use a shampoo for all hair types that balances moisture level.
i have at least 3 different shampooes for this very same reason (i am a hairstylist in va.). people don't understand that my hair changes from day to day (not even other hairstylists - i thought i was the only one!) so i change my shampoo daily for how my hair feels that day.
one of the most important tips i can give you is to towel dry your hair before applying conditioner. use a hand towel if you have to , but towel dry it before conditioner. (i said it twice because it's THAT important)
a dab of pomade will do the trick for the wild strays (to soften the halo effect).
