Do hairdressers at salon use permanent hair dye or semi wen doing foils?

i went to hairdressers n got foils but they are too dark. just wondering if they will fade out?Do hairdressers at salon use permanent hair dye or semi wen doing foils?
Either or, or both, depending on the desired end result. She may have been too slow and the color oxidized too far. But it sounds to me like she used too dark of a color to begin with. Hair color is based on a 1-10 system. 1 being the darkest, 10 being pale blonde. Example, she used a level 4 instead of 6. If you wash your hair with dish soap 2 or 3 times, that always lightens artificial pigment because of the high PH.

Good Luck.Do hairdressers at salon use permanent hair dye or semi wen doing foils?
Don't wash your hair with dish soap! It's drying and might turn your hair to straw if the detergent is harsh enough (depends on brand). Use a clarifying shampoo: one for removing build-up and be sure to condition it well after.

Varies by hairdresser. Generally permanate, unless directed by the client otherwise. some people request semi-permanate.

It being too dark, has nothing to do with if it is permanate or not.

you should call your hairdresser back and ask.

Generally your hair will begin to fade, if its permanate possibly in a month, if semi, in 2-3weeks. depends on how often you wash your hair.

Hope i helped.
Even if they used permanent color, The color always fades due to hair products you regularly use, or with every shampoo. That is why you always have to end up coming back to the salon.
i'm not sure (i dye my own hair) but i think it will be cost efficient to semi dye your hair so when it fades you have to come back and pay them to do it again...
My hairdresser always uses permanent. - But that will still fade a tiny bit
All hair dye fades, Washing hair with hot water helps it fade as well.

My aunt owns a beauty salon and is really good @ giving hair looks like emo/punk, what city do u live in?

Jamies Hair Care in Jeffersonville is really good.

Do u dye your hair yourself or go 2 the hairdressers?

Do you think its worth the 拢30-50 we spend on paying someone else to dye our hair or do you think its just as good as a 拢5 bottle to do it yourself?Do u dye your hair yourself or go 2 the hairdressers?
i always used to dye my hair and used a home kit, with no problems at all, cant see the sense i forking out all that money for something you can do yourself, its only because i want to grow all the colour out that i dont do it anymore,Do u dye your hair yourself or go 2 the hairdressers?
    hair salon fo sure!
myself, sometimes with help from friends
I go to the hairdressers because the home kit ones dont take right to my hair because of previous dye but I would much rather do it at home I might actually get the colour I want rather than colour they make me have!
It depends do you want to look like you did it yourself, or do you want it to look like you had a pro do it.

We can tell the people who did it them selves.

I think if you have knowlege your ok, if you have no clue

    go get it done.

Or you will end up spending way more in the end!

    Color corrections are expensive!!
I'm a hairdresser and have been for more than 15 yrs and not once have i ever put a box dye onto my hair , i do agree that the money salons charge are sometimes a bit to much but what would you rather have a colour that is even all over or a box dye that you miss half your hair, and end up going out to get another (and the box dye arnt the colour thay say on the not as well), also in a salon if its not what you thought it can be fixed straight away , most ladies that use the box dye end up going to the salon to fix there mistakes thay have made with the home dye anyway so i guess spending that little bit more is worth it , also as one girl said above there are sometimes loads of disasters in salons well that's down to the amount of training of that stylist .
When i get my hair died i go to the hairdressers, its not just as good from the bottle at all. hairdressers are way better.

However if you die your hair all the time its way to expensive to go to the hairdresser everytime.
Go to www.hairdressingnvq.co.uk, find about a course, get an NVQ in hairdressing then you can dye your hair yourself and in the long run you can save money. good idea or what
    I dye my hair myself.

I prefer the colour I get when I dye it myself.

    =]
never do it my self now had to many disasters always go to the hairdressers
I'm more likely to buy a cheapo dye and dye it myself. Recently, it was a bad idea as my hair's sorta. Well. Yellow.

At the hair dressers they use real products, peroxide and bleach. They're more worth it, it lasts longer. But, the bottle sometimes works good too.
    i do it myself.
its worth the money to get it done properlly
Always doin it myself i would b 4ever at hairdresser otherwise

Get one that washes out and experiment.

Mines quite light so takes alot of colors
well if you know some one who knows how then you might ask them, but if you don't then you' re better off at the hair dresser. and i suggest you ask some of you friends if they know any place thats good at that.
i don't dye my hair any moor I'm proud of the gray

but i used to do it my self its just as good and a lot cheaper
hairdresser - i cannot make cornflakes no chance with the hair
I go to my hairdresser - i cant be trusted to do it myself.

I used to use 'sun in' does anyone remember that - god it was orange!! haha
myself but if i am wanting to go back blond i would go to the hairdresser otherwise my self
Salon as have had too many disasters with my hair in the past when doing it myself.
I have done both and both turn out good, however, when I have a professional do it, it lasts longer. Go to Sally's or something like that and buy your stuff there. Don't buy the box stuff, buy the ' separates'. There are a few one time things you have to buy but they are not expensive. Have a friend come over and do it to each others' hair. If you purchase the 'salon' type products the color will be richer and last long then then box.
The hairdresser, They know about hair.
i doit myself..been to salon b4 and it looked the same as what i can do at home!
    myself
I dye mine myself. I've never had any real dilemmas yet (although I've probably just cursed myself, lol)
I always use a hairdressers.... they're more likely to be able to sort out mistakes than I am!
I do it myself but I'm really quite good at it.
I dye it myself it makes me feel like an independant woman.Power to all us women.Besides hairdressers are just men u cant have because they are gay.
You should totally go to the salon. You don't need srewed up hair
I really think that its your preference. There are chances of really damaging your hair if you do it the wrong way or mess up. The fumes from the chemicals are really bad but you'll get that where ever you decide to go. I found that getting it done in a salon has the color stay longer than doing it yourself. I would say salon but do you want to spend that extra money for that extra week or so? After you color or perm you hair it is damaged and will never be as strong as it was before.
NEVER do it yourself. I have had so many hair diasters, and you will pay double to get it fixed.
