Do hairdressers usually expect apprentices to have experience when they first apply?

I'm going for an interview for a hairdressing apprenticeship on Thursday, and was wondering if they expect me to have experience or not.

no my friend did it and she had no experience at all then after a few weeks of training she just got the grasp of it and now she is really good
