Have no idea what u want, and just let the hairdresser do what they think will suit you, can u do this? I've never done it.
Or just tell them basically what u want, and let them make the major decisions...?What is the best way to prepare ideas for the hairdressers?
Definitely take photos of hairstyles and color that you like because the hairdresser doesn't know your personality, what they may think is really cute on you may be a disaster in your mind.
Take as many pictures as you can to accurately describe what it is you want, if they can't understand what your wanting they can do it right.

My mom is a hairdresser. Pictures always help! But if you don't know what you want, ask what they think would look good on you first, you might like their ideas. If not, they should have magazines and books at the salon that you can look at to get ideas. I don't think they should just do whatever they want, you're the client and they should always be communicating with you if they're not exactly sure what you want.
always Best to have a pic. then we know what you want if it will work rite for you and if not we can explain how to moderate it so that it will work for you. you can tell the stylist to do what they want but i would have some kinda guide lines like at least the length you want. also, its always important to let the stylist know how much time you want to spend on your hair and what styling tools you use. good luck
Honey let me tell you. I'm a licensed hair stylist and it ALWAYS help if you bring a picture in. That way it'll gives us a visual and help us get the style you want as close as possible, with out any opps, or '' I thought you wanted this'; happening.
id never let the stylist go freehand
mostly i go in for a trim
but if ur looking for a change, i'd take a picture
so they no wat they're doing
Photo for sure! Don't let the lady do whatev she wants! You might end up with purple hair!
